So you know having a regular schedule meaning that you see regular bus drivers. You recognize them because you see them a lot and you nod and smile to them. Even when you are not on their bus and you just randomly bumped into them in the bus loop because you took a slightly later bus. They have a blank look on their face as you realized they might not recognize you. Oops. Then you also see regular bus people. Including an older Sikh guy who tried to borrow your phone three times, and make conversation with you because they are nice but he has an accent so thick you can cut it with a knife. You don’t want to be rude but you don’t understand a single word he is saying. Here he is and saying hi to you. You say hi back and run away as far as you can because that is too much awkwardness in one bus loop. Time to go to work at a completely different time. Maybe change bus route. Nope, maybe new job. …. nah let’s move to Prince Edward Island, Luke would be happy.

His book “The man who mistook his wife for a hat” was one of the first text from class I have enjoyed. I have since read a few more of his work and always enjoyed them. There is a certain warmth in the stories he describe about his patients and their conditions that makes them very touching as stories, and makes you think about our relationship with the brain. When I read these books years ago it changed my mind about how I see our perception of the world. RIP Dr. Sacks!

Canadian stores: you need to provide better service for me to shop with you.
