So. Friends.I am tired of doomscrolling. Let’s do something fun. Show me some obscure/slightly unusual stuff that is found in your kitchen! I wanna know what weird stuff you all hoard so I feel better about my hoarding. (My mom was asking me for some soy sauce the other day and I proudly told her I have 5 kinds in my house. Yepp I have a problem) To start I will show you something I have that is maybe a bit unusual? Rose water/ Orange blossom water: Not unusual in a middle eastern household but maybe slightly for mine. The orange blossom I have used more, in baking and also make a fantastic morroccan lemonade. Liquid smoke: is actually given to me by Elizabeth. In vegetarian cooking sometimes yo can add a bit of this to give it some smokey flavour. Diastatic Malt: is baking ingredient cheating cuz they are all pretty niche. This is used in my annual pannetonne making. It helps…. With browning or something. I literally only use it once a year. Lol Now you go!
