“The rule is that multiple adjectives are always ranked accordingly: opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origin, material, purpose. ” I don’t remember this as something being explicitly taught, and have probably made a few blunders. I don’t even know if I am saying it properly now. Ah! The joy of learning English.

Order force: the old grammar rule we all obey without realising | Tim Dowling | The Guardian
I had no idea there was a specific order for adjectives until I read a viral post. It was a side-of-the-mallet moment

I have been listening to this book on and off for the past month and a half… Two months? Or longer? It is 19 hours worth of book, it is an interesting, uplifting and surprisingly relatable story. (Even tho I am not black or ivy league graduate or successful. Lol) It is also a depressing story when I turn it off and look at what is happening in the world right at this moment. Nevertheless if you are even remotely interested in reading this book I’d highly recommend the audio book version.

This is super interesting. Especially when you see in what region are English songs dominating, and where it isn’t. Also, small pockets or rebellions against the #1 songs. XD (also, I have never heard some of these songs before, and I am okay with that!)

The Cultural Borders of Songs
We mapped last month’s #1 songs in 3,000 places. See where songs dominate across the globe.

It is annoying and disappointing when you see organizations that is supposed to be doing good work get into a nasty social media fight and bring out the ugly comments from people. Less finger pointing, more big cat loving please. .-.

I watched a Korean show once, it was about girls who want to be prettier to get out of being bullied and humiliated. All of the girls were so tearful when I got on the show and they’d shoot them in the absolutely most hideous angles to show off how ugly they were. I know it is a cultural thing but it makes me feel sad when you cannot have a life if your face is not perfect. :<
I Can’t Stop Looking at These South Korean Women Who’ve Had Plastic Surgery
There’s a full-length mirror and a scale on every single floor of the all-girls high school where Julia Lurie works. She’s an American teaching English in South Korea, the country with the highest per capita rate of plastic surgery in the world. One in five women in Seoul have undergone some kind of procedure. Most…
