I have never seen the Lion King. When it was in theatres I missed it and since then I have learned of this controversy and decided I simply don’t want to. Is this the only shady thing Disney has done? Probably not. Have I since seen many other Disney movies? Yes, and probably will continue to do so simply because they own everything. So I am making my tiny stance here to never see this movie, or any other shows that were related to it. I’ve been told it is all amazing and well produced and I am missing out. Probably, again, this is sorta the only thing I can do. That, and tell people about it, if they have not already heard. You can still like the movie but it is important to acknowledge that this has happened. Many people put in some extraordinary hard work on it, just that it was really misrepresented as “original story”.
