Robert is doing this top 10 anime thingy and actually got me thinking if I have a top 10. So I am doing this one. Not sure what you are supposed to do other than do a ranking but I thought I’d say a few things about it. So top 10 is absolutely no order cuz I can’t rank stuff. Here is Yu Yu Hakusho. I think this only made it to North America relatively recently but I was OBSESSED with it when I was a teen. It started off as a detective story involving supernatural stuff but evolved into a popular fighty anime. It’s got some great tropes and likable characters. It ended suddenly…at least it ended. Unlike some of Togashi’s more recent publications. Lol. In terms of how much money I had spent on merch this is definitely worth mentioning in my top 10.

Funny but related story. When I was a teenger in school I’d wear a wool vest over my uniform all summer. We are talking about subtropical summer that goes upwards to 35c and humid as shit. I went back to HK last year and saw girls still doing it and wonder how they do it. As for the why it is easy, body image issues reinforce by all sorts of media. I am consider very fat by Asian standard. I am also considered dark skinned by Asian standard. Guess what, I’ve learn that I really am not, but that took a lot of years because it was shown everywhere it is drilled into your brain.
