Luke and I have finally picked this game back up after a LONG hiatus and going to try to finish it. On paper it is a perfect game for me, you play as an archeologist, traveling the world exploring ruins finding artefacts translating an ancient language and discovering the history. The world is interesting, the history fascinating, the music is good, the art is reasonably nice, we loved the content. The gameplay is one of the most frustrating I have ever experienced. ….. especially because we really wanted to love it and access the fun content part of the game. It is just SO TEDIOUS. It is so close to being a great game, it could have been such a great game. …. we still like it, we are still playing it and having a hell of the time especially with the language and I am still going to recommend it if you are into the sort of things I am telling you. Just know what you are getting into, there really isn’t anything quite like it around the market.
